About SGWircSo what about SGWirc, and why SGWirc you may ask? What's our goal, where do we [staff] get the benefit from the network? Why why why!! In all's end, we got tired of being on another network who had services that were never always up-to-date. The network we use to reside on had no true NickServ, to allow of us users to actually register nicknames to our accounts. Not much of any nickname security, or other handy user features available. The network we use to be on split numerous times, none of us staff / op's at the time could withstand it much any longer; we are guessing the same for our users. However, enough ranting of why we made this network and came to it.SGWirc is a vision shared by a few long time users that have followed the game Stargate Worlds closely, and IRC use in general. We want this network to be enjoyable, without any flaws to be seen. We started this network for the better of our users in this great community. Us staff benefit from it all basically knowing the users using our network that'll enjoy it, talking to their friends in real time. We are in no way affiliated with Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, the developers of Stargate Worlds. However from time to time, developers from Stargate Worlds will pop in to say hi and taunt us with special things from SGW. The network was created in late 2007 around early November, however went public in mid December of 2007. It was created by mainly BC, Zoeff and {SGE}LauraG. Much inspiration came from all of those three to make the dream possible for SGWirc. So far, we have accomplished something vastly large for the community. A central, one stop location for chatting with other users about Stargate Worlds. Currently, SGWirc is the largest fanbase apart from the StargateWorlds forum community. Credits / Special ThanksWhile this might not be much to read on this page, we have a few groups to thank. Many thanks goes out to RedLynk ( Red's Website ) for making this website design, vastly about all the images and layout on here were created by him. He spent quite some time with bc to get this website design to work nicely.More thanks goes to CME (Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment) for making the game Stargate Worlds become a true happening. Also, none of this for IRC would have been possible if it wasn't for the developers of Nefarious + IRCu in addition to the services that come with the irc network known as x3. If we didn't have that, SGWirc would just be SGW and no more chat! Lastly, many thanks go out to the people who have helped SGWirc's network, website and the community along the way.
