FAQThe following are some Frequently Asked Questions on SGWirc. Last update was on April 17, 2008.1. How do I register to the network services (NickServ)? A: /ns register username password real@email.com OR B: /reg user pass real@email.com 2. How do I identify / auth to the network? A: /auth username password OR B: /ns identify user pass OR C: /ns auth user pass NOTE: Currently we do not have /auth password enabled due to a minor bug in the network services. Until then, please just use one of the commands listed above. 3. How do I hide my host? A. /ns set autohide on - This will automatically hide your host each time you auth up. This only needs to be typed one time, services will do the rest when you auth to the network upon reconnecting after auth. B. /mode yournick +x - Type this every time when you auth up to manually enable a vhost. [using choice A is better] 4. How do I register a channel? A: Join #support and message HelpServ the channel you wish to have registered. SGWirc staff will assist you in registering the channel a short time later. 5. What if I have a question or issue that is not covered in this FAQ? A: Please join #support and a network staff member will be with you shortly to assist you. 6. Why did ChanServ leave my channel? A: This can be because of several reasons, but it was most likely because of inactivity. ChanServ leaves a channel with no users of 300 access or higher in it for over 2 weeks. 7. How do you create actions? (For example, * Zoeff is tired) A: Type /me does something 8. Where can I find a FAQ about SGW in general? A: On the official forums: http://forums.stargateworlds.com/showthread.php?t=8869 9. What is #IdleRPG? A: It's a simple RPG game on IRC where all you have to do is idle. Every event is generated randomly, except things that stop you from idling like changing your nick. 10. Where can I find more information about #IdleRPG? A: Go to the IdleRPG page: http://idlerpg.sgwirc.com 11. Where can I find connection guides to connect to SGWirc from? A: Check that out here: http://www.sgwirc.com/?id=connect/index.
